New and Pre-owned Rolls-Royce Ghost for Sale
Used Rolls-Royce Ghost For Sale
If you have seen one of these around, you may have been wondering if a car as big and imposing as the Rolls-Royce Ghost for sale is for more than just show. It is. They have such road-presence that it is definitely on my If I win the lottery list. The engine is magnificent, with a 6.6-liter 12-cylinder twin-turbo powerplant generating 593 horsepower and 575 foot-pounds of torque. The transmission is a ZF-sourced 8-speed automatic that uses satellite aided GPS to analyze the road ahead and select gears based on that information. The suspension has been revised and updated with redesigned struts, new steering gear and a Dynamic Driving Package that tops off the improved handling with adjusted dampers. Don't be surprised when a Series II looks agile on the road than its size would indicate. Exterior details are subtle, yet important, with larger front air intakes and contemporary LED daytime running lights. Technology and luxury intertwine in the interior, and the latest of both can be yours without any loss of the traditional Rolls-Royce character and style.
You know when Rolls-Royce adds a letter after the name it represents something special. To celebrate the fifth birthday we get the V-Specification, limited in production as it should be, and as bespoke in detail as one would expect. Being a Rolls Royce, buyers are seeking something to reflect their personality and individual style. Choosing the paint could take some time, as there are 44,000 options, as well as five V-specific hues to jazz it up with. Doorsills feature bespoke engraving, the armrests are embroidered and a special steel inlay was used for the front multimedia screen lid. Deluxe glamor is not the only thing the V-Specification will make you feel. Rolls-Royce engineers have refined the 6.6-liter V-12 to produce 593 horsepower with 80 percent of its torque available from idle. I know in the world of sub-4 second 0-60 mph times, the V achieving 4.8 seconds doesn’t sound too impressive. But, bear in mind, it weighs almost 6,000 pounds. So in reality, getting off the line looking like royalty on a rampage is indeed quite magnificent.
Despite its 5,500-pound bulk, the car can pick up its skirts and waft from standstill to 60mph in an impressive 4.8 seconds. Yet what drops jaws is the athletic manner at which this majestic carriage can scythe around curves. As you’d expect, with self-leveling air springing, the ride quality is magic-carpet-like. For the ultimate in comfort, the stretched-by seven-inch extended wheel-base model gets closer to the Phantom in spatial luxury without looking from the outside like a prom-night Town Car.
Essentially, the 2020 Rolls-Royce Ghost is the kid brother of the iconic Phantom. It is an entry-level model that showcases all the luxuries associated with Rolls-Royce ownership but with a more realistic approach. Starting at $311,900 for base models, it is still a luxurious vehicle and is also available as an Extended Wheelbase or a Black Badge model. The latest model stays true to its roots with only minor upgrades to the dash including a head-up display and night-vision camera. It also retains a focus on rear-seat passengers, as many passengers in Rolls-Royce models are being escorted by personal drivers. Rear-hinged doors are a staple, which remains, along with twin 9.2-inch screens and sumptuous materials.
Unveiled at the 2009 Geneva International Motor Show, the Rolls-Royce Ghost for sale emerged as a compact sibling of the marque’s massive flagship. Powered by a 6.6-liter 563 hp V12, the Ghost is capable of wafting along at its electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph in an effortless manner. Based on a modified F01 chassis platform, the Ghost features a standard 129.7-inch wheelbase and an optional 136.4-inch extended wheelbase. Touting the same FlexRay electronic system of its larger stablemate, the Ghost also rides on an advanced air-spring suspension.
Â
Built on its own production line at the Goodwood plant, the Ghost is available with a wide range of interior and exterior finishes and options, making it a prime choice for the discerning individual’s garage. The exterior of the Ghost is fashioned in lean, high-grade steel bodywork rather than aluminum, a metal with less tensile strength that requires thicker construction in coachbuilding.
By 2014, the Ghost received an update to its steering equipment, primarily in the form of more robust steering dampers to improve cornering ability. Aesthetic improvements to the 2014 Ghost stemmed from reshaped bumpers with improved ventilation for brakes, redesigned headlights, and more refined lines, such as those on the hood following in the wake of the Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament. At the pavement, 21 inch forged alloy wheels also became an option alongside the standard 19-inch wheels. For the interior, the front and rear seats became available in a ventilated option, carpets in a new lambswool and a new rear theater system emerged.

English automaker, Rolls-Royce, is seeking to reach a younger, self-empowered demographic with its new Black Badge;, which debuted at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
