Striking due to its complete ground up build, correct 1970 Hemi block, Crossram intake, deep gloss black finish, and generous helpings of chrome throughout the undercarriage and engine room. It has been driven just 84 miles since completion and comes with more than 150 photos of the ground-up build process. Plenty of fuel is delivered through twin Holley four barrels and the exhaust exits via coated headers and a simply gorgeous full length exhaust system. One step on the throttle demonstrates emphatically that the combination is dialed in. Power is transmitted through a TorqueFlite automatic with a reverse manual valve body and Hurst Pistol Grip shifter to a Dana 60 Sure Grip rear axle housing 3.73 gears. A custom hood accommodates the Elephant motor's height with the Crossram setup. The interior is strikingly plush featuring a factory style air conditioning system, leather bucket seats as well as leather door trim, center console with wood grain appliques, and a wood grain rally dash with tach and clock. An AM/FM audio system with Bluetooth has been added too. The original sheet metal has been treated to some deep gloss black paint, and that's complemented by chrome Foose wheels. With this much power on tap, the brakes need to be up to the task. The open five spoke wheel design shows off the Wilwood brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. Show car looks with beautiful paint and chrome, race car power from a 426 Hemi, and comfortable to drive with an air conditioned leather interior, this spectacular 1970 Plymouth Barracuda offers a hard to find combination. Complete professional rotisserie restoration. Pretty much all parts are restored or new. FM3 Moulin rouge 'Cuda. 1975 block 440/493 stroker from 440 Source. Professionally built motor that dynoed at 518 HP at the crank and 583 ft lbs of torque. Eddlebrock heads with mild porting. Qwik Fuel 750 double pumper carburetor. Glen Ray radiator rated for 750 HP keeps it running cool. 2" TTI headers with 3" exhaust and hooker mufflers (sounds mean) but quiet inside because it has dynamat and dynaliner. Shaker Hood. Firm feel suspension components including fast ratio idler and pitman arms. 4 wheel slotted disc brakes from Dr Diff. Passon performance 5 speed manual transmission and McLeod clutch. Dana/Strange S-60 9.75" 3:73:1 rear differential. BfGoodrich 235/60/15 front and 275/60/15 rear tires. All new interior including rebuilt gauges from redline gauge works. 4 power windows. MSD 6AL2 2 step rev limiter. Line lock. Rim blow steering wheel. Kicker speakers with added speakers in the kick panels and bluetooth radio that looks original. Go wing, rear window louvers, 383 hockey stick stripes. LED tail lights. Many receipts and documents kept from the restoration. This car is a moving artwork. The 1970 Plymouth Superbird is an iconic muscle car known for its distinctive design and performance capabilities. It is part of the Chrysler Corporation's Winged Warriors series, which also included the Dodge Charger Daytona. The Superbird was developed primarily for NASCAR racing and was produced in limited numbers, making it a highly sought-after collector's item today.The Superbird was conceived in response to NASCAR's increasing popularity and the need for manufacturers to create high-performance vehicles that could compete on the racetrack.They featured a unique aerodynamic design, most notably its elongated nose and an enormous rear wing. These elements were engineered to improve downforce at high speeds and enhance stability. The car was based on the Plymouth Road Runner but had significant modifications, including a new front end that accommodated the aerodynamic nose and a split grille design. The rear wing was a defining characteristic, standing nearly 3 feet tall.  Production was limited with only 1,935 cars built for one year only and it is estimated less than 1,000 survive today.This particular example is equipped with a 440 cubic inch, 375 hp motor coupled to a 727 Torqueflight 3-speed automatic transmission and is one of only 626 built with a 4 barrel 440ci and automatic transmission. She is finished in the high impact color of Lemon Twist, (one of an estimated 350 in this color) with a black vinyl roof and black interior. Copies of the window sticker and broadcast build sheet also accompany the car. The partial VIN number stamped on the block and the transmission are the same as the dash VIN, and fender tag. An older full restoration that still shows incredibly well with excellent panel fit and drives wonderfully. Equally ideal for a well established private collection or to be used and enjoyed...be prepared for a lot of thumbs up, pictures and envious glances when taken out for a spin!
