The S-Class has been the flagship of MB since 1972. With the launch of the W220 chassis in 1998, their performance division was given free reign to push the limits of the new sedan. For one month in 2001, they stuffed a 6.3L V12 under the hood. Details of the first car are few and far between. They were sold exclusively by AMG in Europe and Asia as the flagship.

AMG revised the suspension and transmission to handle the increased weight and 444 hp. For the next generation on the W221 chassis, the performance division chose to use their 6.3L V8 with twin turbos. Horsepower was rated at 518 and 465 lb-ft of torque. This body style lasted from 2007 to 2013, and many models are available for sale. In 2009, the V8 was revised for lower emissions. It was de-stroked to 5.5L. This new engine made 563 hp and 664 lb-ft. When the W222 body style launched in 2013, the new sedan was available in All Wheel Drive. To replace the CL, a new S63 Coupe was launched with the same twin turbo V8 and all-wheel drive. This new generation is rated at 577 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. Carbon ceramic brakes compliment a host of new technologies introduced with this generation. LED intelligent headlamps, Collision prevention, Crosswind Stabilization, cornering brake control, and a host of new features of this drag strip sleeper.

The S63 4matic Coupe brings the same caliber of mastery Mercedes-Benz consistently strives for. Fitted with the 5.5-liter, hand-built V8 Biturbo engine, the car makes 577 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. The exterior design defines elegance and luxury with an updated, sleek appearance. Swooping lines from the front to rear fenders streamline the styling.

The 4matic Coupe is also equipped with the AIRMATIC performance suspension system and the seven-speed Speedshift automatic transmission. Its all-wheel-drive system presents a smooth and responsive drive with a rear bias to enhance its sporting roots.

Inside, features dual 12.3-inch high-resolution touch-screens that control driving functions and provide convenience. Also included is a Burmester complete surround sound system, ambient customizable lighting, a navigation system and even a cabin fragrance system to guarantee the most comfortable, luxurious driving experience. Optional Nappa Leather upholstery and a rear cabin refrigerator box are also available to those seeking a personal finish. Exuding luxury inside and out, this luxury car for sale is built to provide the most enjoyable experience on the road.

With the demise of Maybach, Mercedes is set on using the all-new S-Class to fill in the shoes of the long luxury limo. The AMG version isn’t just a limo; it’s a screaming fast one. The North American S-Class only comes in the longer wheelbase, which happens to be the same size as the outgoing car. But there is still an even longer car in store, the real limousine and the rest of the world will get a shorter one, also. The S63’s 664 foot-pounds of torque is distributed through a four-wheel-drive system as it quickly hits 60 in 3.9 seconds. Unlike the other S-Classes, the S63 doesn’t offer the spiffy new suspension that scans the road ahead and adjusts accordingly. It instead makes do with a normal set of adjustable dampers. It’s all wrapped in lightweight aluminum, shedding some 220 pounds compared to the outgoing car and forming an automobile with a simple grandeur, a prominence equal to that of the Maybach without being overdone. Inside, occupants are wrapped in a sensuous elegance that may be confused with that of some highbrow British brands. It’s an all-new S-Class, indeed.

The 2016 Mercedes S63 4MATIC Coupe comes equipped with the 5.5-liter twin turbo V8, which produces 577 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. These power numbers rocket the 4MATIC Coupe to 60 mph from a standstill in a quick 3.9 seconds. Standard equipment includes a seven-speed Speedshift MCT transmission, performance 4 MATIC all-wheel drive, high-performance compound braking systems, adaptive sport suspension and an sport exhaust. Interior standard equipment includes 12-way air bag protection, collision prevention assist plus, rain-sensing windshield wipers, ventilated front seats, heated front seats, dual 12.3-inch high-resolution screens and many other creature comforts Mercedes-Benz is known for equipping their vehicles with. Optional features for this year are Burmester high-end 3D surround sound system, Splitview front-seat entertainment system, refrigerator box for rear cabin, heated rear seats and heated front armrests and door panels.
