1959 Jaguar XK150 S 3.4 Litre Roadster Matching Numbers  Recently discovered in long-term, single family ownership, this matching number XK150 S is presented in as-found condition and is the ideal candidate for a complete, ground-up restoration. Displaying 44,660 miles on the odometer, this unrestored Jaguar retains its original, matching-numbers engine, chassis, and body per the JDHT certificate on file. Just out of long-term storage and not currently running. It will require mechanical attention prior to road use.  Launched in 1958, the XK150 S represents the ultimate development of Jaguars legendary line of XK sports cars. In its original 3.4-litre form, the S model yielded significant performance dividends, with three SU carburetors, straight-port intake manifolds, and upgraded camshafts contributing 60 hp over the standard XK150. Equipped with Le Mans-proven Dunlop disc brakes, these Jaguars were among the fastest and most comfortable GT cars of the late 1950s. The most sporting version was the Roadster, of which only 888 were built. According to the accompanying Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, this XK150 S Roadster was completed on April 23, 1959, finished in the striking color scheme of Black with Red leather upholstery and a Sand soft top. Originally ordered through Jaguar Cars of New York, the Jaguars first owner collected it in Coventry in June 1959, where it was issued registration no. UKV 426. One Owner 1959 Jaguar XK150 Roadster with Extraordinary Documentation Signed By William LyonsThis 1959 Jaguar XK150 Roadster comes with fabulous documentation signed by William Lyons and is an incredibly undisturbed one owner car from new. Black with cognac leather and retaining its matching numbers engine block. Shortly after the original owner purchased the car, the motor dropped a valve so he wrote a letter to Jaguar UK regarding the issue. He eventually received a response from co-founder of Jaguar Cars William Lyons directly. Mr. Lyons agreed to to ship the new cylinder head along with several accompanying engine parts at no charge. 1959 Jaguar XK150S Drophead Coupe with Matching NumbersThis rare 1959 Jaguar XK150 S 3.4 Litre Drophead Coupe is a remarkable survivor that retains its original matching numbers engine and has been under the same ownership since 1966. This 1968 Jaguar XKE Series 1.5 4.2 Roadster features California ownership from new and retains its original Blue CA license plates. As such, it carries a âJ68â tag next to the data plate, which was assigned to the car from the CA DMVâa unique feature exclusive to cars originally registered in the state during the 1960s. This example is finished in what is believed to be its rare original color combination of Black over Black with a matching Black top, boot, and tonneau cover. The car is powered by a 4.2-liter engine topped by three SU carburetors and paired with a smooth shifting 4-speed manual transmission. Like all Series 1.5 XKEs, this example features a larger capacity radiator with dual fans for improved cooling. Notable past owners include a member of the Jaguar Ownerâs Club of Los Angeles who took diligent care of the vehicle and competed/showed the car with great success. . Fitted with covered headlights this XKEâs front and rear European-style lenses enhance aesthetics alongside other updates including a stainless-steel exhaust system, Becker AM/FM/cassette radio, Koni shocks, and 15â x 6â chrome wire wheels. Built in early 1968, this Jaguar E-Type Roadster counts among a select few colloquially referred to as âSeries 1.5â models. Originally characterized by open headlight bonnets, Series 1.5 cars otherwise present very similar to earlier Series I cars, and sharing the highly regarded 4.2 liter engine. Inspiration from the D-Type is unmistakable, as the Jaguar E-Type had a monocoque passenger compartment, a tube framed engine bay, and tilting hood. The XKE had four-wheel Dunlop disc brakes with the rear discs fitted next to the differential reducing unsprung weight, and most importantly, fully independent suspension on all four wheels. Â
