This is an extremely well loved and documented Aston Martin DB 6, ENGINE No. 400/2712V. CHASSIS No. DB6/2719/R | SPECIFICATION Est. 385+ bhp, DOHC inline six-cylinder engine with three Weber DCOE 50 carburetors, five-speed manual gearbox, independent front suspension with coil springs, live rear axle suspension with coil springs and lever-arm dampers, and four-wheel disc brakes. Wheelbase: 101 in.   .   - Factory Vantage model with matching numbers   - Nut-and-bolt restoration by former chief mechanic of Aston Martin Vintage Racing Services   - Exhilarating performance from powerfully upgraded engine   - Multiple concours dâelegance awards & RMSotheby's Listing   - Professional conversion to left-hand drive   - Book has been edited with pictures and story of this DB6  .  According to a copy of the original factory build sheet, this DB6 was initially purchased by D.G. Lynall, of Warwickshire, England, through Bradburyâs Garage Limited, with a guarantee issued on May 30, 1966. Originally Oyster shell and trimmed with red Connolly leather upholstery, 2719/R was factory-specified with a Vantage engine, chrome wire wheels, a heated rear screen, three-ear knock-offs, and a Motorola radio with a power antenna. Aston Martin records indicate a factory maintenance history through March 1968, and by the early-1980s, the car was in the possession of Laurence Kayne, of Berkeley Square Ltd. On April 3, 1984, Mr. Kayne sold 2719/R to Scott Vincent, who imported the car to the United States. Eventually coming into the care of Arthur Wexler, of Larchmont, New York, the DB6 was purchased in 1990 by Peter Ungen and Marjan Kraljevic, a well-known Aston Martin expert who cut his teeth working on the race cars of famed championship driver Bob Grossman after escaping from communist Yugoslavia. Hired as a mechanic by Aston Martin North America in 1977, Mr. Kraljevic eventually became the chief mechanic of Aston Martin Vintage Racing Services during the 1980s, before founding his own dedicated Aston Martin repair and restoration facility, Vantage Motors, of Stamford, Connecticut, in 1990. Mr. Kraljevic was obviously an ideal custodian for 2719/R, which he bought outright from his partner in 1991. Initially merely returning the car to a reliable running state, Mr. Kraljevic began a complete nut-and-bolt restoration in late-2004, which was nothing short of a true labor of love. Irrespective of cost, his well-conceived and carefully executed work reproduced the DB6 to its highly desirable current state. The DB6 has now been reborn with left-hand drive, utilizing a factory LHD dashboard, refining the powerful DB6 Vantageâs drivability for American roadways. The original right-hand drive dashboard panel and DCOE 45 Weber carburetors have been retained and are included, at the buyerâs shipping expense, from Connecticut, for the owner who might someday wish to return the car to its original configuration. In addition to the thoughtful upgrades, more standard restoration measures were conducted, such as a rebuild of the brakes and original shocks and a general refurbishment of virtually every mechanical and cosmetic component, including a stunning refinish in Aston Martin Black Pearl with a new interior in caramel tan. Completed in the summer of 2006 and documented with a comprehensive account of invoices. Accompanying this Gem, is a professional edited book with its story and pictures. Driven by Brian Redman. An amazing Recreation of the Porsche 804 F1 Open Wheel Race Car, which only 4 true one's were built by Porsche. This reproduction Porsche 804 Tribute Open Wheel was built by the Wilson Collection in Jupiter Florida. This is a faithful representation of the Porsche landmark entry in Formula 1 racing. The Wilson Collection opted to call the updated, full race version a 1963, as it maintains that if Porsche had continued in Formula 1, it would have transitioned from a Flat-8 to a Flat-6 engine. This car features a Flat-6 built by the 901 Shop in Stuart, Florida, and is backed by a Hewland 5-speed transmission. It has disc brakes all around, and the suspension was engineered to use Porsche 911 torsion bars, just like the original 804. Handling prowess comes in the form of Penske shocks to dampen the suspension.  . Quick recap of the history of Original Open Wheel car built in 1962 by Porsche: The 804 was designed by Ferdinand Alexander Butzi Porsche, also known as F.A. Porsche. He is the son of Ferdinand Anton Ernst Ferry Porsche, and grandson of the company's eponymous founder Ferdinand Porsche. F.A. Porsche was assigned the project by the company's long-time chief body engineer Erwin Komenda. The design was done for Wilhelm Hild, an engineer with the racing department, and Hubert Mimler, another engineer who worked on a variety of projects at the company and who was assigned to the racing department at the time. The two engineers worked with FA Porsche on the car. Acting as Racing director at Porsche was Fritz Huschke von Hanstein. A total of four cars were built. The fourth chassis was never raced. The 250 Ferrari was the first volume produced model. Enzo Ferrari seen it as vitally important to the company's future stability. It started with the 250 Europa, built from 1953 to 1954, with an amount fewer than 20. The 250 Europa's introduction heralded a significant change in Ferrari's preferred coachbuilder; previously Vignale had been the most popular. Needing series production to stabilize Enzo Ferrari's company finances, he asked Carrozeria PininFarina to design a simple and classic 250GT coupe. Pinin built a plant in Grugliasco to expand the production and produced the new 250 GT coupe PininFarina. This coupe was introduced at the Milan Show in 1958 and 335 near identical examples were built by 1960.  .  Offered here by Euro Prestige Imports is a 250GT Series 1 Coupe number 1471GT - arguably one of the most exciting examples of the model, both in terms of prominent ownership, show-car status and factory options. 1471GT started life in May of 1959, when its bare chassis was sent to the Torino facility of Carrozzeria Pinin Farina, to be clothed in their elegant Coupe coachwork. The seventh to last of the first series 128D chassis, 1471GT was factory equipped with four wheel disc brakes, and the offset-lever four-speed overdrive transmission. The craftsmen at Pinin Farina spent most of the summer building the coachwork for the new Ferrari, finishing it in an elegant two-tone livery of Grigio Argento on the top, and a Bianco lower half. A beautifully contrasting red was chosen for the interior.  .  1471GT was completed in October of 1959, and soon thereafter delivered to the official Ferrari importer and agency of Sweden, Tore Bjurstrom. Mr. Bjurstrom had big plans for the new Ferrari, and soon after taking delivery transported 1471GT to Germany for display at the 1959 International German Auto Show - IAA in Frankfurt. After the show, 1471GT returned to Sweden, where HRH Prince Bertil, the Ferrari's first owner, took delivery in late 1959. The Duke of Halland, Prince Bertil Gustaf Oskar Carl EugÃ©n was 47 years old when he took delivery of his new Pinin Farina Coupe. A popular public figure in Scandinavia and throughout Europe, Bertil had a great passion for motorcars, and would own several Ferraris during his lifetime.  .  In 1961, 1471GT was sold on to Langdon 'Bill' Proctor, an American playboy residing in Switzerland. Mr. Proctor was known to rub shoulders with the Swiss elite, and surely felt right at home when arriving at exotic destinations in the silver and white Ferrari. 1471GT was registered on Swiss canton Vaud license plate VD 106426, and used often as daily transport by Procter. The engine has a power output of 368 kW; 493 hp (500 PS) and 460 Nâm (339 lbâft) of torque. Porsche's focus was on reducing internal friction to improve throttle response. Compared to the 991.1, the rear spoiler is 20 mm (0.8 in) taller and located farther back to be more effective resulting in a 20% increase in downforce. There is a new front spoiler and changes to the rear suspension along with larger ram air ducts. The car generates 154 kg (340 lb) of downforce at top speed.
