This 1989 Ferrari 348 TS arrives finished in Rosso Corsa over Beige Connolly leather. Of-the-era analog tech fills out tactile controls from the leather-wrapped steering wheel to a crisp gated manual shifter. Veglia Borletti instrumentation faces sumptuous passenger appointments complete with power-adjustable sport seating and Beige carpet/mats. This exampleâs Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, pop-up headlights, and removable roof panel deliver a winning combination of open top sports purpose motoring. Beneath the surface, this driverâs carâs balanced mid-engine layout sends power rearward, while 17â 5-spoke alloy wheels hold the road. Ventilated disc brakes and fully independent suspension ensure firm stopping power and nimble handling. Showing under 8k miles, this 348 TS arrives fresh from recent engine-out service, complete with a leather-bound tool kit, accessories, and two sets of wheels and tires (new and original). . Ferrariâs 348 made its debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September of 1989. Production beginning in the same year ran until 1993, yielding fewer than 5,000 348 TS (Transversale Spider) in total. The new modelâs targa-roof configuration paired seamlessly with power derived from a 3.4L 32 valve V8 featuring a flat-plane crankshaft, quad-cam valvetrain, and 300hp on tap. More than solely a bump in displacement over the preceding 328, the car featured Ferrariâs first monocoque chassis structure incorporating innovations from Formula One development programs, resulting in improved handling and structural integrity. . The affectionately nicknamed âbaby Testarossaâ married Teutonic styling and modernized mechanics, sharing Pininfarina design penned by Leonardo Fioravanti with its V12 siblings. Its deep side strakes and a cockpit roomier over its predecessor brought the manufacturer into the 1990s at the forefront of luxury and performance. The 348 marked the end of an era requiring Ferrari drivers' three-pedal attention, available exclusively with a gated five-speed manual transaxle. Revered for its iconic design, serene exhaust note, and a historically significant clean slate design, the 348 remains a compelling investment at the heights of analog Italian sportscars. Â
