From 2005-2010, a new version of the BMW M6 for sale emerged on the market powered by the same V10 the powered the E60 M5. Producing 500 hp, the new car was significantly faster in its 0-60 times, reaching its goal in 4.1 seconds opposed to the ‘83-’89’s 6.1 seconds. Compared to the old car’s five-speed manual gearbox, the new generation featured a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic paddle shift gearbox. Unlike the first generation, the second generation was available in a coupe or M6 convertible body style.

For over three decades, the Bimmer has represented the pinnacle of upscale comfort and high performance in a coupe package for the marque. Originally offered from 1983-1989, it featured a 6-series coupe, powered by a modified version of the engine in the legendary BMW M1. Making 256 hp, the luxury coupe could reach a top speed of 158 mph, second-fastest BMW ever built under the M1, due to the electronic limiting of modern cars to 155 mph. One can distinguish the car by the famous tri-color accents of the motorsports division present on the seats and in the front and rear badges improved front spoiler and uniform body-colored side mirrors. The first generation was known for its sharp and aggressive front-end design, its speed, and its comfort.

In 2012, the third generation cars became available, featuring the 4.4 liter V8 featured in the F10 generation of the M5, generating 55 hp. Built in the coupe and convertible versions of the previous generation, the 2012 vintage car evolved in 2013, offering a four-door Gran Coupe as well. Reflecting the roofline of the coupe, the Gran Coupe is ideal for those concerned about accessibility as well as aesthetics.

We have a select offerings, ranging in all vintages and offered for sale in a variety of colors to suit any aesthetic taste. Shop for used BMW M6 with low miles and service records up to date. If you are shopping for a convertible be sure to have the top inspected and tested, as the replacement is expensive.

The luxury sedan remains a driver-oriented masterpiece for the true Bavarian aficionado. Pumping 560 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque through its 4.4-liter twin turbo V8, getting from 0-60 mph time of just over four seconds. Aesthetically, the car has been sharpened by countless hours of computer modeling in order to cut through the air. Its exterior—far removed from the general appearance remains a stunning work of art. The power fed from the engine to the rear rubber is controlled by an Active M differential. Through analyzing driver inputs, road conditions, and driving situations, the Active M differential instantly changes how the rear wheels distribute power. This not only enhances the safety but also its sporting qualities. Looking at the previous year and other BMW models in the M line-up, it seems the revised 2016 will come fully equipped with newer and more ergonomically advanced interior controls. Expect a relentless, classy and aggressive monster of the tarmac upon its release.

2019 BMW M6

A sole focus on aerodynamics and extensive wind-tunnel testing shaped the exterior of BMW M6. With a low to the ground body, lengthy hood and a sloping windshield and four-door design, the M6 is a high-performance model BMW intended as an everyday driver. Backed by a 4.4-liter TwinPower Turbo V8 engine, the M6 produces 560 horsepower, 500 lb-ft of solid torque and a full-throated quad-bank exhaust system. A 0-60 acceleration speed of only 4.1 seconds only hints at the power that lies beneath the curvaceous hood. A deep roar further adds to the thrill of driving the M6 though the inventive changes to the robust engine have drastically reduced typical emissions. To further enhance the driving experience, BMW offers the option of a double-clutch automatic or 6-speed manual transmission along with a one-of-a-kind M Drive system. Practical and functional, the M6 manages to also retain all of the luxurious features associated with the legendary automaker’s brand. The interior includes an intuitive touchscreen infotainment system, power-operated front seats that are embellished in Merino leather and the option for a standard carbon fiber or upgraded wood trim. Further enhancing the lavish nature of the BMW cabin, are a harman/kardon surround sound system and additional upgrades like a power rear sunshade and rear side window shades, a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, and even a driving assistance package which features lane departure warnings, city collision mitigation, pedestrian and frontal collision warnings.

It starts with the base 6-Series. After stretching its wheelbase by 4.1 inches and adding a pair of rear doors, we have a beautiful car, a late offering to the four-door coupé party. Competitors such as the A7, CLS, and Panamera have been around for some time and enjoying the strong sales. The BMW M6 Gran Coup for sale takes it up a notch by adopting a lot from the two-door version. This includes the twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V- 8, seven-speed double clutch transmission, Active M limited-slip differential, carbon-fiber roof panel and the full, quite-thorough spectrum of adjustments for the damping of the suspension, the shifts from the transmission and the sensitivity of the steering. Those who want more can order the Competition Package, as in the two-door M6, but unlike the child-friendly rear quarters of that M6, the car offers room for four adults. The luxury sedan will also be one of the first BMW M cars to be offered with carbon-ceramic brakes, equaling units measuring 16.1 inches at the front.

The coupe is one handsome automobile. It has presence and stature, as it should at the top of the family tree. M styling adds a powerful persona to the 6 Series, with the addition of large front air intakes, meaty wheel arches, and taut rear haunches, along with traditional M cues, such as the carbon-fiber roof. What I loved about driving this big sedan is that the wide torque range seemed to match the car’s personality. The 560 horsepower and 502 foot-pounds of torque firmly push you back in your seat. I know that the official figures are 0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds, but wow, it felt faster than that to me. I also enjoyed the feeling of tailoring the coupe’s performance thresholds to my own ambitions for whatever road I was on. I would advise making the most of the two M buttons on the steering wheel so you can quickly switch from a well-behaved urban-driving setting to an all-out ‘have-a-blast’ one. Whatever the situation, the vehicle is freaky fast without letting any of its luxury slip. Amazing, really.
