New and Pre-owned Audi S5 for Sale

It's one of Audi's newer models, but its proven to be popular and a quick staple in most markets. Introduced in 2007, the S5 features the strong and aggressive front fascia associated with Audi’s S vehicles, but its rounded body and larger size make it approachable and comfortable enough to be a family vehicle.

Initial models of the Audi S5 for sale offered the option of a coupé or cabriolet body style. At the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2009, the S5 Sportback model was introduced, a five-door body that, unfortunately, is unavailable in the United States. Despite its lack of entry to the US market, though, it has enjoyed a popular streak.

Depending on the selection of an S5 convertible cabriolet, sportback or coupe body style, the engine options varied. A 3.0-liter TFSI V6 engine capable of 329 hp sits under the hood of any S5 cabriolet or sportback, while the S5 coupe enjoys access to a 4.2-liter FSI V8 with 349 hp. However, despite the differences in cylinder counts, size and horsepower, the overall performance levels of each engine are almost exactly the same.

The S5 model line saw a few design changes in 2013, when the coupé models saw a 3.0-liter supercharged TSFI V6. Capable of creating 333 hp when combined with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the newest S5 coupé can reach 60 mph from a standstill in 4.5 seconds while maxing out at a top speed of 153 mph. Though it was the same engine used in the S5 Cabriolet previously, it also improved fuel efficiency for the coupé.
