What goes into the price of an Aston Martin? Is it engineering? Comfort? Design, legacy or prestige? Or is the answer "all of the above"? Today, the British car maker is synonymous with luxury, performance and innovative design for both the road and track, the result of a legacy more than 100 years in the making. Its current name comes from a hill and a man, but initially, it was called "Bamford & Martin". Created in 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford, the two were inspired to create their own vehicles and rename their company after Martin saw success racing at Aston Hill. They produced road cars and race cars into the 1930s, creating 140 Aston Martin for sale in 1937.
After it was purchased by David Brown, the marque entered a golden era. 15 examples of the Two-Liter Sports, the first car produced under Brown, were created, a convertible retroactively named the DB1. It was under Brown's leadership that the DB5 was created, unanimously recognized as the car James Bond drove in "Goldfinger".
There are now 140 authorized dealers around the world, with more than two dozen USA locations alone. Any would be more than happy to assist in finding the perfect car, whether looking for a lease or to purchase a pre-owned example.
