2016 Aston Martin Vanquish Volante For Sale

The Vanquish convertible is, hands-down, the most beautiful convertible of the year. Driving one reminds you that this is a gorgeous motorcar, because people just stop and stare. The exotic sports car is long, sleek and sinewy and has a definite upper-class aura about it, and people respond accordingly. Now I love open-top driving so I was excited to take the Aston for a fast drive in the mountains. In doing so I found an interesting transition taking place. This is a true Grand Touring car and so everything is about enjoying the journey. At slow speeds, I was very aware of the gorgeous interior and the rumble of the 6.0-liter V-12, and not at all conscious of the bad road surfaces. But, as I made it out of the city and pressed the red ‘S’ for Sport button on the steering wheel, a more youthful personality emerged. Electronics speed up, steering becomes firmer, the exhaust is louder and you feel the energy ramp up. As I ate up the miles around corners and across the flats, I can only tell you that I didn’t want the journey to end.
