2010 Aston Martin DBS Volante Introduced at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, the DBS Volante brought together two of Aston Martinâs most revered nameplates, each representing a significant chapter in the marqueâs legacy. The first, DBS, debuted in 1967, emerging in the latter years of Aston Martinâs influential David Brown era. It was designed as a bold yet refined grand tourer, balancing power with elegance. The nameplate made a triumphant return in 2007, once again embodying the perfect fusion of aggressive performance and timeless styling. Under the hood, a 5.9-liter V-12 engine produced 510 horsepower, available with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. The second, Volante, is an Italian term meaning "flying" and has been synonymous with Aston Martinâs open-top models since the DB Short-Wheelbase Volante of 1965. More than just a designation, the Volante name evokes the thrill of top-down motoring, offering an unrivaled blend of performance, sophistication, and open-air exhilaration. The DBS Volante stands apart as an extraordinary machine, exuding luxury, and engineering excellence. It features a power-operated fabric top, which can be lowered in just 15 seconds at speeds of up to 30 mph. Signature swan-style aluminum doors add a touch of drama, while adaptive driving modes and carbon-ceramic brakes ensure both dynamic handling and secure stopping powerâwhether cruising the boulevard or attacking winding roads.
