Originally delivered to Centennial Porsche-Audi in Eugene, Oregon, this mid-year 911 has been tastefully upgraded and meticulously maintained, making it a compelling choice for enthusiasts and collectors alike.Undergoing a performance-focused rebuild circa 2006 by Specialized Porsche of Riverside, California, the air-cooled flat-six has been enlarged to 2.9 liters, offering an exhilarating driving experience. The modifications include a boattailed engine case for improved efficiency, a Web Cam camshaft, an LN Engineering Nickies 93mm cylinder and piston set with a 10.3:1 compression ratio, port-matched cylinder heads, and a balanced crankshaft and piston rods. Additional enhancements include a 1975 911-style aftermarket oil pump, a Dansk muffler, and aftermarket pop-off valve, pressure-fed chain tensioners, and cylinder head bolts. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle, reportedly rebuilt in 2006, and complemented by a short-throw shifter installed in 2010. Regular servicing has ensured the car remains in peak mechanical condition, with recent maintenance including a fuel distributor rebuild, a replacement rear main seal, fuel accumulator, battery, fuel lines, and spark plugs. A June 2023 compression test confirms the health of the engine.The 911 retains its factory-specified Mexico Blue finish, with a professional repaint under prior ownership maintaining its vivid presentation. Enhancing the classic silhouette are body-color bumpers, H4 headlights with matching trim rings, and a '2.9' engine cover badge. In May 2022, paint protection film was applied to the bumper, hood, headlights, and fenders to preserve the carâs pristine condition. Rolling on 15-inch 'cookie cutter' wheels wrapped in Continental ProContact TX tires with 2021 date codes, the car benefits from four-wheel ventilated disc brakes. A suspension refresh in July 2022 included the installation of an ERP bump steer kit and a lowered ride height for improved handling dynamics. Replacement rear CV boots were installed in June 2023.The cabin exudes period-correct Porsche appeal, with black leather high-back bucket seats reupholstered under prior ownership. The matching black dash, center console, door panels, and folding rear seats reinforce the cohesive aesthetic. Interior highlights include a thick-rimmed leather-wrapped steering wheel added in 2023, VDO instrumentation with a centrally mounted tachometer, a quartz clock, front vent windows, an aftermarket push-button radio, Coco Mats, and a heated rear window.Â Now available for sale in Denver, Colorado, this matching-numbers 911 comes complete with its ownerâs manual, a collection of service records, a copy of The Complete Book of Porsche 911, spare parts, a battery tender, and a space-saver spare tire.
