The Mercedes G63 for sale has changed very little in the last few years, and we think it is for good reason. The 2019 Mercedes G63 has undoubtedly never lacked power or curb appeal, but this fresh set of upgrades takes the model to a whole new level. Beginning with the engine, Mercedes-AMG swapped out the former 5.5-liter V8 Biturbo for a 4.0-liter V8 Biturbo-charged engine. This change results in an increase of 14 horsepower and 66 lb-ft of torque; taking the new engine output totals to 557 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. This change, paired with a decreased curb weight, decreases the former 0 to 60 acceleration speed by 0.9 seconds and improves the top speed by 7 MPH. Now capable of reaching 137 MPH, the super SUV includes a revised suspension that includes improved stiffness, independent front steering and rack-and-pinion steering which all allow drivers to better control the vehicle at maximum speeds. From there, Mercedes-AMG opted to replace the traditional 7-speed automatic transmission with a more contemporary 9-speed automatic. Taking a deeper look into the G63, the interior has also undergone a big transformation. The key concepts embraced for the interior appear to be creating a larger and more modern space. To reach these goals, Mercedes-AMG added more legroom in both the front and the back of the SUV and incorporated updated materials and finishes along with up-to-date technologies. A 12.3-inch screen serves as the display for the instrument cluster as well as an innovative infotainment system. From the outside, the present-day 2020 G63 AMG for sale may look similar to older models but getting behind the wheel quickly showcases the expansive amount of newly arrived touches.
