Ferrari Los Angeles is pleased to present the availability of this beautiful two-owner 1999 Ferrari 355 Spider, #82 of approximately 100 limited edition Serie Fiorano models produced for the US market. The mid-mounted 3.5-liter DOHC V8 features five valves per cylinder and dry-sump lubrication for a factory-rated output of 375 horsepower and 268 lb-ft of torque. Power is routed to the rear wheels via an electro-hydraulically operated six-speed F1 gearbox. An engine-out timing belt service was performed in October of 2021.  For the 1999 model year, Ferrari introduced a limited production of F355 Spider models designated, "Serie Fiorano". Launched in March of 1999, this designation included several enhancements increasing the track performance, the result manifesting in a vehicle much closer to the Challenge versions. Specifically, a competizione-derived Fiorano suspension pack consisting of stiffer springs and a thicker anti-roll bar, drilled and ventilated brake discs, competition brake pads, and a competizione-sourced steering rack.  Aesthetically, the Serie Fiorano introduced challenge rear grilles and enameled Scuderia Ferrari shields, in addition to carbon-fiber inserts such as the center console, door sills, and paddle-shifters, as well as a suede-covered steering wheel. This classic Pininfarina-designed car has aged nicely, and being a GTS, it has the the lift-off targa roof panel. The powertrain is a 3.5 liter naturally aspirated V8 that sounds glorious and it is paired with the groundbreaking for its time six-speed F1 automated manual transmission with shift paddles fixed to the steering column. This example has a Tubi Exhaust fitted along with Fabspeed Headers. Please note the original stereo comes with the car however it is not currently installed. The previous owner preferred to listen to the great exhaust note versus music. The previous owner spared no expense when it came to maintenance. The engine-out full service was conducted 2 years ago and a new clutch was installed at that time. The interior has been completely restored and all of the sticky buttons/pieces have been refurbished as well. It was available on all three versions: berlinetta, GTS, and the Spider. The new transmission was revolutionary for its time, guaranteeing quick gear changes with the advantage that both driver's hands could stay on the wheel at all times. The car's 3496 cc engine punched out 380 horsepower thanks to distribution from twin overhead cams with five valves per cylinder; giving a power output of 109 hp/liter. The 355 F1 GTS had an aluminum and steel body with a full-body under-tray designed to equalize downforce between the two axles. The car's performance figures were a result of the underbody's aerodynamics.
